Chocolate Walnut Derby Pie

The recipe for this Chocolate Walnut Derby Pie comes from Southern Living 1001 Ways to Cook Southern, circa 2010, but I remember the same recipe coming from a Kentucky state park resort restaurant that we stayed at when I was in grade school.
That restaurant introduced me to both Kentucky Hot Brown and Derby Pie; named after the famous Kentucky Derby.
It’s like a soft chocolate chip cookie in a pie crust. Is it healthy? Hell no. Is it delicious?
Hell yes.
